Semiconductor sales increased 4% last week however, they were down 21% from this time in 2022. The IC weather warmed 1˚F in Temperate conditions. Zooming in on the second forecast update for the year, 2023 semiconductor sales are expected to fall 6% to $581B ‒ A $14B haircut from the last update. The major changes were made to memory, DRAM and NAND are now expected to be down 25% and 21% for the year, respectively.
TechInsights’ IC Supply/Demand held in Tight conditions. IDM, OSAT, and Analog & Power all loosened this week. IDM went to Loose from Balanced, OSAT to Tight from Shortage, and Analog & Power moved from Tight to Balanced. The remaining segments stayed the same.
