Semiconductor sales growth pulled up 6% W/W and was within 2% of 2021 levels, as the seasonal post-graduation dip showed signs of ending. The IC weather warmed 0˚F last week.
Zooming in on memory growth this week, the 13-wk MA is slowing to more normal levels for both DRAM and NAND. TechInsights forecasts were unchanged in June’s update with DRAM at $110B and NAND at $69B for 2022, with Y/Y growth at 15% and 13%.
TechInsights’ IC Supply/Demand indices held for the week at Balanced, as conditions shifted to a buyer’s market. Foundry went to Saturated. More than Moore, NAND, OSAT, and Analog & Power fell to Loose. DRAM, IDM, and Auto IC were unchanged. Electronics’ Retail Prices are declining.
