In Q1 2025, global 5G handset revenues rose nearly 3% year-over-year, with Apple capturing just under half of the market. Samsung followed with one-fifth, while Xiaomi, Huawei, and vivo held smaller shares. Inflation and economic pressures are driving demand toward more affordable devices, contributing to a 9% drop in average selling price. Apple maintained the highest ASP, well above the market average. Meanwhile, 4G LTE handset shipments declined 26% year-over-year, now representing just over one-fifth of total handset volumes. Transsion led the 4G market with nearly one-fourth of shipments, followed by Xiaomi and Samsung. Despite the decline, 4G remains strong in regions like Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, and Africa, where affordability and infrastructure limitations sustain demand.
