Global smartphone apps processors (AP) with on-device artificial intelligence (AI) increased 9 percent year-over-year in Q1 2025 corresponding to higher mix-shift towards premium APs shipped in the quarter. Qualcomm, MediaTek and Apple APs continue to dominate the absolute volume of on-device AI designs in Q1 2025 with MediaTek making significant gains relative to Qualcomm in the Android ecosystem.
