Samsung: Modest Regrow of Smartphone Shipments
Samsung achieved modest YoY growth in Q2 2024 with 53.8 million smartphones shipped globally. Ending a seven-quarter decline, the growth was driven by emerging markets, while performance in mature markets and India was mixed.
Samsung posted a modest year-over-year growth by smartphone shipments, with 53.8 million units of smartphones globally in Q2 2024. The company managed to terminate the downturn track lasted for the past seven quarters in a row and achieved a mild growth, which largely came from emerging markets including Middle East Africa, Central Latin America and Central Eastern Europe. The performance in mature markets and India remained mixed this quarter.
