Global annual handset shipment growth was once again down, in Q2 2023. Global 5G smartphone shipments are still (slowly) growing, but that improvement is not enough to make up for steep declines in 4G LTE, 2G and the nearly dead 3G markets. Apple captured the top spot in 5G while Samsung leads in overall global handset shipments.
