TechInsights tracked global smartphone shipments (sell in) and sales (sell through) went down -7% YoY and -8% YoY in May 2023 respectively. With the decline, the market is declined from April 2023, due to the uncertain China demand after re-opening, geo-political tensions, inventory reductions, and rising inflations across the globe. Samsung regained the top place by both shipments and sales. Apple yielded to the second position, followed by Xiaomi, OPPO (including OnePlus) and Vivo and etc..
