Voracious demand for NVIDIA’s high-performance AI processors rocketed the company to the top spot as the world’s largest semiconductor company in 2024. NVIDIA’s semiconductor sales more than doubled from $49.6 billion in 2023 to $115.6 billion in 2024, making it the first company in history to achieve more than $100.0 billion in annual semiconductor revenue. Total sales for the top-25 semiconductor companies grew 27% in 2024, more than the 22% increase for the entire semiconductor market. Q1 2025 sales guidance for IDMs shows a 9% decline, 0% growth for fabless companies; and a 3% decline among pure-play foundries.
