This quarter marks the fifth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth in global 5G smartphone shipments. 5G is again the growth driver, and despite developed markets, particularly North America, registering slow growth, strong shipment growth is continuing in emerging markets. The bestselling 5G smartphone vendor continued to be Apple, which shipped 30.8% of all 5G smartphones globally. The vast majority (54%) of shipments in Q4 2024 came from the Asia-Pacific region. Chinese vendors captured over 47% of the global 5G shipments in Q4 2024. This report reports 5G handset shipments by vendor by quarter from 2018 through Q2 2021 with regional breakdown. All major regions are forecasted in the report, including North America, Central & Latin America, Western Europe, Central & Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa Middle East.
