The PSA RCC A1 is a head unit designed for PSA Group (now Stellantis) cars. This model was mounted in a 2022 Peugeot 208. It features AM/FM and DAB radio, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB 2.0 connectivity. The head unit supports four 50 W speakers and a rear-view camera. This device doesn’t have a built-in display, instead it connects to an external display via an LVDS connection. It supports four 50 W speakers and a microphone allowing for hands-free calls. Most of the audio-related ICs were supplied by STMicroelectornics, except for DAC and ADCs made by Texas Instruments. There are two symmetrical antennas printed on the main board, one for Bluetooth, and the other, that is left not connected in the version we have analyzed, presumably for WiFi. Bluetooth connectivity is supported by an Alps Electric UGXZE-104A subsystem, featuring a Qualcomm made Bluetooth 4.0 chip. The Chassis cost is $3.68, which is around 45% of total non-electronics parts cost. The head Unit is equipped with NXP Semiconductor 32-bit Dual-Core Applications Processor which costs $7.07.
