TechInsights tracked that global smartphone shipments (sell in) and sales (sell through) grew 8% YoY and 4% YoY in January 2024 respectively, indicating the market has reached bottom and is under the recovery phase. Apple maintained the top place by both shipments and sales. Samsung ranked second, followed by Xiaomi, Transsion, vivo, OPPO (including OnePlus) and others by shipments. By sales, OPPO (including OnePlus) surpassed vivo and became the fifth this month. This report tracks global smartphone monthly shipments (sell in), sales (sell through) and inventory changes by 32 of the world's largest vendors from January 2016 to January 2024. The report is a valuable tool for OEMs, component makers, software developers, operators and other stakeholders to track the inventory levels for key OEMs and support their planning activities.
