The shipments of connected TV devices in the USA grew by 3% to 19 million in Q2 2023, driven by 11% year-on-year growth in the gaming consoles category and 6% year-on-year growth in the Smart TV category, despite macroeconomic fluctuations and high inflation. Sony overcame its prolonged supply constraints of Play Station 5 model and Nintendo launched the sequel to “Legend of Zelda” game which helped boost sales.
