Toyota Unveils New Technologies to Underpin BEV and FCEV Strategy

Toyota Motor Corporation held a technical briefing session entitled “Toyota Technical Workshop” disclosing their strategy for the next-generation of battery electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. By improving battery performance and cost and moving toward solid-state battery technology Toyota is fighting to make up lost ground in the electric vehicle market. Toyota also looks to be pivoting away from the FCEV light passenger vehicle market towards commercial vehicles as the best opportunity for FCEV powertrains.
