MediaTek's newest flagship smartphone SoCs are the Dimensity 9400+ and the Dimensity 9400e. The Dimensity 9400+ serves as a bridge to the upcoming Dimensity 9500, expected in Q4 2025, while the Dimensity 9400e marks MediaTek's entry into the affordable flagship segment. The Dimensity 9400+ retains the same architecture as its predecessor, the Dimensity 9400, but increases the Cortex-X925 prime core clock speed to 3.73 GHz. The rest of the CPU cluster remains unchanged, with three Cortex-X4 high-performance cores and four Cortex-A720 performance cores. Architecturally, the Dimensity 9400e is a carbon copy of the year-old Dimensity 9300+, featuring four Cortex-X4 high-performance cores and four Cortex-A720 performance cores. It's plausible that the two chips share the same die, a common practice for repurposed SoCs.
