The second group of entry-level 32-bit embedded MCUs added to Renesas's RA0 Series brings power efficiency and robust security features to cost-sensitive applications like battery-powered consumer electronics, wearables, and IoT devices. The RA0E2 MCUs, featuring the Arm Cortex-M23 CPU, boast a power consumption of 2.8 mA at 32MHz in active mode, but are designed to operate chiefly in standby mode, where the power consumption drops to just 0.25 µA.
