Global fitness band shipments grew for the second consecutive quarter in Q1 2025 after nearly 3 years of steep declines. Consumer appetite for simpler devices with longer battery life is strengthening (also bolstering smart rings), and wearables are experiencing a demand surge in China during the past couple of quarters, driving strong growth for local brands like Huawei and Xiaomi. Xiaomi remained in the top spot, after reclaiming it in Q4 2024 due to the Mi Band 9. This comes after ceding its long-time leadership position to Huawei for the prior two quarters.
