Mobile phone shipments decreased and radio component supplier sales dropped sequentially.Despite this, component supplier profits increased slightly on average. Comparing the industry profit-to-sales ratio to historical norms indicates that profits will probably drop a few percentage points over the next three quarters on weak sales growth. Intel, Qorvo, Wolfspeed, and Semtech posted losses, while TSMC, Broadcom, Texas Instruments, and Analog Device posted unusually strong profits.
