Automotive Semiconductor Industry Performance Snapshot: Q2 2024

While the industry is still facing challenges as customers work through inventory, the fundamentals underpinning increasing semiconductor content per vehicle remain strong. The automotive semiconductor supply chain still needs to face several more months of the “false slowdown”, but the TechInsights Auto Semi Index did return to growth in the second quarter of 2024. Qualcomm led the quasi recovery and extended its lead at the top of the Auto Semi Index rankings. Renesas and Micron also showed strong quarter-on-quarter growth and there was positive movement from ADI and Infineon also.
