The War in Ukraine and the inflationary pressure on the global economy have caused volatility to the price of battery materials. Recycling mandates are now appearing for batteries. As well as diversifying supply of battery materials and components, more battery chemistries are being explored, along with developments to enhance performance and scale. Furthermore, solid-state batteries are scheduled to arrive in the mid-term.
