Global smartwatch shipments declined for the third consecutive quarter during Q2 2023, after Q4 2022 marked the first YoY decline since 2016 as the smartwatch space begins to mature and consumers reign in discretionary spending causing a lengthening replacement cycle amid macroeconomic weakness. We project a turnaround to growth for H2 and for full year 2023 as macro conditions improve and new models flood the market. During Q2 nearly all major vendors saw YoY shipment declines. Google an Honor were added to the tracker from Q1. Top regions in Q2 included Asia Pacific, North America, and Western Europe.
