Q2 ‘23: Realme: Fifth Consecutive Annual Decline

Realme global smartphone shipments declined -14% YoY but grew strong double digit +20% QoQ in Q2 2023 driven by new launches in Q2 and at tail end of Q1 2023. This is Realme’s fifth consecutive annual decline. Realme is facing backlash in Western Europe where it declined -40% YoY due to lawsuit with Nokia and this has significantly contributed to vendor’s annual decline. Also, India, one of the largest market for Realme is experiencing leadership exodus and has led to decline -28% YoY in Q2 2023.
