Xiaomi launches the Xring O1, its first flagship SoC since the Surge S1, featuring a powerful 10-core CPU and advanced GPU, built on TSMC's 3nm node.
Xiaomi is re-entering the flagship SoC arena with the launch of the Xring O1 (XuanJie O1 in China), its first internally developed smartphone processor since the Surge S1. After early setbacks in SoC development, the company shifted focus to lower-complexity silicon, gradually building up its design capabilities. The Xring O1 reflects a renewed commitment to high-performance, in-house chip design, built on Arm's v9.2-A architecture and fabricated using TSMC's 3nm N3E node. The SoC features a 10-core CPU with two Cortex-X925 cores, six Cortex-A725 cores, and two Cortex-A520 cores. It also includes a 16-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU and a custom six-core neural processing unit (NPU) capable of delivering up to 44 TOPS.
