Qualcomm's new mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 switched foundries from Samsung's 4nm (4LPX) process to TSMC’s more efficient 4nm (N4P) process, coinciding with the Arm v9 architecture update—a Snapdragon 6-series first. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 likely shares the same die as its upper mid-range counterpart, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, since the two are based on matching CPU and GPU architectures at different clock speeds.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 employs an octa-core Arm CPU comprised of four Cortex-A720 performance cores and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.
