Samsung Exynos Connect U100 UWB SoC Floorplan Analysis

The Samsung Exynos Connect U100 is an ultra-wideband (UWB) chipset designed for precise spatial awareness in mobile, automotive, and IoT devices. It integrates baseband, RF, power management, and memory into a single chip, delivering centimeter-level accuracy and 3D directional sensing using time-of-flight and angle-of-arrival measurements. Supporting the IEEE 802.15.4z standard and certified by the FiRa Consortium, it allows for secure, low-power applications such as digital car keys, object tracking, smart homes, and AR/VR experiences. This basic floorplan analysis report includes an investigation of the Samsung U100 component and the S3JU100 die inside it, using optical and scanning electron microscopy techniques. We also provide analysis of the S3JU100 die's functional blocks and a cost analysis of the die.
