Q2 ’23: Transsion: Nudged Up the Fifth Largest Smartphone Vendor Globally

Transsion nudged up the fifth position with 9% market share. It is the first time the Chinese brand entered the top five list by smartphone shipments growing +31% YoY. The inventory adjustments were completed quicker-than-expected. As a result, the company started to launch a few new smartphone models across all three brands in multiple markets during Q2 2023. Meanwhile, the company made progress on channel expansions in Central Latin America and Central Eastern European regions this quarter. As a result, it witnessed the solid growth across all regions it has operations, especially in Africa Middle East, SEA / SWA, and Central Latin America. In addition to traditional countries / markets in Africa Middle East region, the company also made progress in Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Guatemala and Ecuador etc.
