Opportunities for Innovation for Fiber-to-the-Premises

An Innovation is a Novel and Viable Solution to a Practical Problem. The world’s fixed Telecom operators are transitioning their networks from copper to FTTP to meet the present-day needs of consumers and businesses, and to reduce their energy consumption and operating expenses. FTTP technology is robust and very good at meeting the needs of operators and their customers. However, there are still opportunities for improvements, both impactful and incremental. This report examines the field for near-term innovation in FTTP technology and assesses how innovators can make the biggest impact in a mature market.
