In August, the Microprocessor Report team examined the challenges of chiplet designs and the strategies used by different AI and HPC vendors. We analyzed the latest Renesas edge AI MCU, RA8P1, which integrates MRAM. Xiaomi returned to in-house smartphone SoC design with the Xring O1, which we featured this month as well. During the month, we cataloged 50 device launches and identified 27 new IPs.
