The Sony Xperia 1 V is the successor to the Sony Xperia 1 IV. Released on July 28, 2023, this smartphone was made for the international market and is based on the Android 13 system.
In comparison to the Sony Xperia 1 IV, the Sony Xperia 1 V features a different camera setup. The main difference is the 48 MP Sensor, used in the wide-angle camera, whereas its predecessor used a 12 MP sensor. The Front Wide-Angle, Rear Ultra-Wide-Angle camera, and Periscopic Camera subsystems seem to have the same parameters (resolution 12 MP sensors with the same optical parameters). Also, Sony resigned from the TOF sensor on the rear camera setup.
Both Smartphones use a 6.5” OLED display, with a 21:9 ratio, refresh rate of 120 Hz, 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution, and 10-bit color depth. The only difference is the display’s protection which in the Xperia 1 V is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus2.
The battery in both smartphones stays the same 5000 mAh.
In conclusion, the Sony Xperia 1 V is the refreshed model of the Xperia 1 IV. Sony uses a second-generation Snapdragon 8 Processor, a higher resolution Wide-angle sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus2, and Bluetooth 5.3.
