The Quectel RG620T-EU is mainly based on MediaTek solutions, such as the MediaTek MT6990V Quad-Core Applications/Baseband Processor, Power Management (MT6319BP, MT6361LP), GPS Receiver (MT6686MA), supporting GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS and NavIC connectivity, Transceiver (MT6195W). The RF modules are manufactured by Smarter Micro. The Quectel RG620T is a 5G module optimized specially for IoT/eMBB applications. Based on 3GPP Release 16 technology, the module supports the 5G modes of both NSA and SA and the deployment of Option 3x, 3a, 3, and 2. It also supports 4G or 3G.

The RG620T series are industrial grade for industrial and commercial applications only. The module integrates a multi-constellation GNSS receiver that supports GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Galileo. The RG620T series modules have a quad-core 2.2GHz CPU and integrated network and VPN accelerators, which extends the applicability of the module to a wide range of eMBB and IoT applications such as 5G routers, CPE, MiFi, industrial routers, and home gateways.
