Deep Dive Teardown of the Honor Magic V2 VER-AN10 Smartphone

The Honor Magic V2 VER-AN10 is a foldable smartphone from Honor following the Magic Vs. It was released on July 12, 2023, and runs on MagicOS 7.2 (Based on Android 13). This model (VER-AN10) was made for the Chinese Region.
In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Honor Magic V2 features a different front/selfie camera setup - it uses two identical 16 MP cameras using OmniVision's sensor as opposed to Samsung which utilizes two cameras using 10MP and 4MP Sony sensors. Both feature three rear cameras, with the main camera being a 50 MP device with Samsung using their own S5KGN3 sensor while Honor utilizes Sony's IMX866.
Honor decided to use a bigger, higher resolution foldable display than Samsung, at 7.92” with a resolution of 2344x2156, against the Fold 5’s 7.6” with a resolution of 2176x1812. Secondary displays follow a similar pattern, with the Chinese manufacturer going for a diagonal of 6.43” and a resolution of 2376x1060 as opposed to 6.2” and a resolution of 2316 × 904.
To further outbid Samsung for specifications, the Honor Magic V2 has a total battery capacity of 5000 mAh as compared to 4400 mAh in the fold. Both use dual-battery setup, which is typical for foldables.
