Apple's Q2 2025 captive silicon shipments and revenues declined, impacted by reduced Mac demand. Latest 5G modems included with iPhone 16e and Air designs.

Apple's captive silicon lead by A-series, M-series, S-series applications processors (AP) shipment volume declined 3 percent year-on-year in Q2 2025 while captive silicon revenues fell by 12 percent in the same period largely due to softening Mac demand. Apple's A-series APs are used in iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, iPod Touch and HomePod while the M-series APs are used in iPad, MacBook, Macs and the Vision Pro devices. Latest Apple 5G modems (C1 and C1X) which was introduced with the latest iPhone 16e and iPhone Air smartphone designs were included along with the N1 connectivity chip.
