ANALYSIS: Global 5G and mmWave Smartphone Shipments Forecast by Region to 2024

Global 5G smartphone shipments growth will remain low in 2023 due to economic turbulence. Growth is stagnating due to Chinese softness and geopolitical and economic turbulence. Apple leads vendors with nearly a one third share of all 5G shipments globally, followed by Samsung and Xiaomi. By 2024 Apple’s lead will have shrunk as Samsung grows its shipments faster than the other leading vendors. 5G mmWave devices continue to exist mainly in North American and Japanese markets.
